Arimado is the eleventh typeface that I’ve designed. It’s my interpretation of a neo-grotesk with geometric and humanist inflections.
I was enthralled by some of the newer interpretations of the genre, and decided to reference several of those items. Infuse that with whatever I liked and one thing lead into another.
Features included the triangular characters “A”, “V” having aesthetic traps, narrow joins for the “n”, “b”, “d” and of course, not being too “engineered” to give it that more organic feel.
